The Testa Gaming Foundation was founded in early 2026 by Robert D. Testa in the East Valley of Arizona. The foundation was created to promote the positive power of gaming and Esports through education, community programs, and youth development.
Robert has been an avid gamer his entire life. From the original NES and SNES to years of online console gaming, tournaments, and story-driven RPGs, Robert has experienced nearly every corner of the video game world.
While Robert began his personal gaming journey as a small child, his professional and academic approach began in college. During that time he wrote several papers, participated in collegiate debates and discussions, promoted the benefits of video games both academically and socially, and even wrote his thesis on the cultural impact of video gaming on society. Robert has extensive knowledge drawn from both firsthand experience and extensive research into the world of gaming.
After college, Robert entered the workforce as a public school teacher, where he spent 10 years in the classroom. During that time he founded and led multiple gaming and Esports programs, ranging from student clubs to full competitive teams, helping introduce organized gaming opportunities to hundreds of students.
In the world of Esports, Robert founded and built the Combs High School Esports program. By the time he left the school, it had become one of the top-ranked programs in the state of Arizona winning over 50 first place awards at both the individual, and team levels.
He also founded and built the Combs Middle School Esports program, leading the team to become the number one middle school team in Arizona and number four in the Southwest.
Robert also built, from the ground up, the first full-size elementary Esports league in the state of Arizona, hosting dozens of matches over several months, including a full postseason and championship.
Robert has dedicated his life not only to playing video games personally, but to bringing the joy and wonder of gaming to others. He has worked with children and adults alike to showcase the positive power of gaming and help break the age-old stereotypes surrounding the gaming community.
