What is the Order?

The Order of the Shields is the official progression system of the Testa Gaming Foundation. Players earn points through tournaments, events, teamwork, and positive community participation. As players grow and improve, they unlock new shield ranks that represent their skill, dedication, and leadership within the community.

Our Shields progression system is designed to provide a rewarding experience similar to the achievement and trophy systems found on popular gaming platforms like *Xbox and *PlayStation

Why we created the Order!

We created the Order of the Shields to encourage growth beyond simply winning games. Our system rewards Improvement, Teamwork, Leadership, Education, and Positive Behavior. Players are recognized not just for skill, but for how they contribute to the community, and the way they strive for their future!

The goal is to build confident players, strong competitors, and great teammates. While getting kids ready to be productive members of their community!

SHIELD RANKS

Every Journey Needs A Beginning.

The Adventurer Shields represent the beginning of every player’s journey within the Order of the Shields. These ranks reward growth, learning, and early achievements as players begin developing their competitive skills and participating in events. Every member of the Order starts here and works their way upward through dedication, improvement, and participation.

Greatness Comes To Those Who Reach For It

The Legendary Shields represent players who have proven themselves through strong performance, consistency, and commitment to the community. Reaching these ranks shows that a player has moved beyond the beginner stages and has become a respected competitor within the Order.

Rise like the blazing Fire

Ascend like the majestic Phoenix

The Ascension Shields represent players who have reached the highest levels of competition within the Order. These shields mark competitors who have demonstrated elite skill, perseverance, and leadership within the community.

Only ONE Can be the legend of Myths

At the very top of the Order of the Shields stands a title unlike any other.

The Mythic Shield is not simply another rank to earn — it is the crown of the entire Order. Only one player in the entire foundation may hold the Mythic Shield at any moment.

The player who carries it is known as the Mythic Champion.

Every member of the Order begins their journey climbing through the ranks, proving their skill, dedication, and perseverance. Only those who reach the highest levels of the Order may rise to challenge the Mythic Champion.

When the Mythic Shield is on the line, the moment becomes more than a match. It is a battle for the summit of the Order — where one player rises above all others and claims the title of champion.

Like the legendary Mythic itself, the title is never permanent. It rises, falls, and rises again as new challengers emerge.

At the end of the climb, only one player stands at the top.

Only one holds the Mythic Shield.

How to rise through the Order!

Players earn progress in the Order of the Shields through participation in events, competitive success, community involvement, education, and contributions to the foundation. Every tournament, activity, and challenge offers opportunities to grow within the Order.

Competition

Tournament Placement — Earn progress based on final placement in official tournaments
- Small Tournaments (8–15 players) — Top 4 placements qualify
- Medium Tournaments (16–31 players) — Top 8 placements qualify
- Large Tournaments (32+ players) — Top 8 placements qualify
- Players must finish within these placement ranges to earn placement progress
Qualifying Placement Match Wins — Earn progress by winning matches in the final stages of a tournament
- Small Tournaments (8–15 players) — Win a match in the Top 8 bracket
- Medium Tournaments (16–31 players) — Win a match in the Top 16 bracket
- Large Tournaments (32+ players) — Win a match in the Top 16 bracket
- Players earn progress each time they win a match within these brackets
Consistent Competitive Performance — Earn recognition for finishing in qualifying placements across consecutive events
Placement Improvement — Earn recognition for achieving a higher placement than in a previous event

Development

Educational Submission — Earn progress by submitting approved educational work
- Research gaming or esports-related careers
- Research college programs connected to gaming
- Create presentations, videos, or written projects
- Study game history, developers, or the gaming industry
- Explain how gaming skills apply to real-world careers
Submission Rules
- All work must be submitted and approved
- Limited per year
- Limited to one submission per topic
Expanded Learning Activities
- Game design and mechanics analysis
- STEM concepts related to gaming
- Streaming, broadcasting, or content creation
- Strategy and gameplay analysis
- Career interviews or industry research
Progress Log Submission — Track performance across multiple events
- Must include documented results
- Must be verified by staff

Participation

Attend Event — Earn progress for attending an official Testa Gaming Foundation event
Enter Tournament — Earn progress for competing in an official tournament bracket
Complete Full Event Day — Earn additional progress for staying through the conclusion of the event and awards
- Verification may be required through a check-in/check-out system
Milestones — Earn progress for long-term participation
Attend multiple events
Compete in multiple tournaments
Achieve repeated qualifying placements
Maintain participation streaks

Community

Assist New Player — Help a new player during an event
- Must be observed or confirmed by staff
Volunteer Support — Help with event setup or operations
Sportsmanship Recognition — Awarded when observed and confirmed by staff
External Gaming Participation — Attend official gaming-related events outside the foundation
- Examples include tournaments, conventions, or esports events
- Proof required

Special

Staff Challenge — Complete a staff-issued challenge
- Must be completed and verified by staff
- Availability may vary by event
Special Event Challenge — Participate in designated special or themed events
- Includes seasonal events and limited-time challenges
Physical Activity Challenge — Complete short physical activities during events
Examples include push-ups, jumping jacks, and movement-based activities
Limited per event

General Rules

Only official events and approved activities count
All results must be verified through official brackets or staff approval
Qualifying placements are determined by tournament size
Educational and external activities are limited per year and per topic
Casual or informal play does not count
